MessageI, Christiano Ronaldo http://www.cristianoronaldo7.com/forum/fanzone/Other/CR7120.html
feel that this is the perfect opportunity for the Unified Lodamun Party to make its' unifying mark on this nation. This cabinet includes all 7 parties, and even has some thought as to the cabinet that each party should represent.

Messageunfortunately, we cannot accept nationalist involvement. especially at the sensitive defense ministry since they have advocated several invasions and support an imperialist policy.

MessageThe ULP desperately wants both sides to work out a compromise and allow for a new cabinet with all parties represented. Let us continue the discussion. What can we do to help the both of you work together? The ULP also calls all other parties not the NP, or URP to encourage the two of them to work together. We will not put this cabinet to vote until we have an undivided concensous.

Messageunfortunately, the URP is firm on this issue. The very identity of the party was forged during the nationalist tyranny. At the core is opposition to Nationalist government.

MessageWe believe that most other parties would prefer a NP cabinet over that of a URP cabinet. We aswell can not agree to sitting with the URP as they are dispicable and have called for the murder of our politicians.

MessageWe never called for murder. It was the NP that burned URP politicians in effigy.

Messageany chance we could hold an all night no one sleeps til we work out a compromise, then we don't work out a compromise, and in the ned just say htat we were toing it for posterities sake anyhow sort of sit in in the Parliment? OOC, for those of you not in America, The U.S. Senate actually decided to stay up all night to try and force the Republicans to allow the Democrats to vote on whether or not we should bring home troops from Iraq. The Democrats were never able to get the Republicans to agree, and all they did was buy a lot of pizza and stay in chamber for an entire evening. Basically, nothing happened. IT's really funnyu when you listne to our political pundits talk about it.

MessageThe ULP calls all other parties not the URP or the NP to pass this and force them to work together. OOC, if nothing else, it would be funny.

MessageThis won't work. It just won't. These two can't work out thier differences, it just can't happen. I'll play along for the sake of playing peacekeeper, but if this passes, there's a good chance the NP will resign. They will resign because this isn't a compromise, it is forcing the NP to work in a URP led government.

Please note, I'm not saying URP shouldn't be head of government, they have been majority party for a good long time now, and they've certainly earned it. However, if you want the NP involved, establishing a government with the one party they swore not to work with at the head is an exercise in futility. Frankly, as long as the URP is going to vote "no" regardless if you include the NP and vice-versa, it may behoove you to promote someone like the NMP or NP for head of government and increase your chances of passing the legislation.

Random fact: Cultural Protocol bills must provide a real-life equivalent or short description for the ethnic groups, languages and religions contained in them, such that it would be easy for an unfamiliar player to understand (e.g. "Dundorfian = German"). Where appropriate, they should also provide guidance to players on where to find help with translations and character names. This might include, for example, links to Google Translate, Behind the Name's Random Name Generator and Fantasy Name Generators.
