Messageand mining uranium (and exploiting the local population and destroying the local environment) and producing toxic waste is supposed to save us? invest in renewable energy and energy efficiency, we'll get there

MessageBut we AREN'T there. The damage done by nuclear power plants, when properly dealt with, is minute compared to fossil fuels. We aren't ready for a change like this. Build a massive hydroelectric plant that can power the nation for the next fifty years and you'll get my vote.

Messageas long as we keep the dangerous nuclear power plants, who will want to invest in renewable energy? The current power plants provide cheap power but it's every bit as polluting as the fossil fuel plants, just in a very different way.
