Bill: Military Readiness Act 2431
Details
Submitted by[?]: Christian Democratic Alternative
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: April 2432
Description[?]:
The CDA is shocked to learn that previous goverments have neglected their duties concerning the defence of the country! Our armed forces are in a sorry state! The number of recruits that have volunteered to serve is too low. To replenish these numbers military service must be introduced, which must be followed by rigourous and relentless training. The left-wing goverments have left our armed forces with nothing but their bare hands to defend themselves! The CDA wants the possibility for ABC weapons programmes to be developed, to be created. This doesn't imply that an ABC weapons programme WILL be set up, but at least CAN be set up, should the need arise. The CDA also wants to grant the armed force the right to use ABC weapons, should such weapons be at our disposal, when they are faced with overwhelming odds. |

Message | No! Weapons of mass destruction as well as mandatory military service are senseless destructive measures of war and violence. We strictly oppose all forms of violence be them aggressive or forms of determent, all violence is threat and all violence is inhuman. Do not use human intelligence for destruction! Message | "Mr Rosenthal. Even though you are civilised enough to refrain from using your intelligence for destructive ends, people in other governments may not be as civilised or perhaps not as intelligent as you are. Therefore it would be a wise precaution to arm ourselves against savages....or fools." -Charles Henry de Berlaymont, CDA party leader. |
