Message | On the contrary, there is a huge surplus of immigrants. Such an amount leads to unemployment and wage reduction for our domestic workbase. As to the concerns to the SDFP, while we don't support a violation to people's right to be secure in their own homes, either, this proposal was the only one that allowed for active searches and expulsion from the country. Naturally, we would want the illegal immigrants to arrested or searched for outside of their homes, however, the mechanics of the game doesn't allow this. Would you be able to ignore that part of the game's choice of words if the Reform Party changed the description to show that people's security in their homes would not be violated? |

Message | Where does this idea of surplus immigrants and resulting high unemployment come from. As far as I can see unemployment in all our cantons is on a very acceptable level. |

Message | When you consider the fact that the maximum unemployment rate in Terra is 10%, and that Akinawa and Hebilon aren't too far from that, it doesn't seem like that may be true. |

Message | In both Hevilon and Akinawa the unemployment rate doesn't reach 8%. But in itself that wouldn't mean much. It would only call for these policies if it can be linked to higher levels of immigrants in those cantons. The USJ likes the fresh ideas and work ethic many immigrants bring to Cildania. |

Message | The Reform Party does as well. However, unlimited immigration can be dangerous, both in terms of unemployment and security. If immigration levels are so high that the melting pot can no be sustained, then enclaves to with little central government authority can develop. |

Message | "Would you be able to ignore that part of the game's choice of words if the Reform Party changed the description to show that people's security in their homes would not be violated?" We're concerned with police resources being dedicated to actively searching for illegal immigrants. While we accept that ignoring them is not acceptable, we feel that this solution goes too far. We would much prefer "The government does not actively search for illegal aliens, but expels them from the country when discovered". If this was changed, the SDF would provisionally support this bill provided we would get the Reform Party's assurances that Article 2's quotas would be flexible to take in to account world events at any time. We are not in favour of binding year-on-year quotas for immigration. |
