MessageHmm, I just skim-read this at first and thought "At last, it's been a while since we've seen one of Satanic's Maximum Security bills." How wrong I was. It's just shameless nationalism and the introduction of a zombie nation. Tow the party line, OR ELSE. Davostan first, everyone else last (if at all).

MessageWow, the left must really feel threatened, everywhere I look instead of arguments against us it's "Davostan first, everyone else last" "zombie nation" and "shameless nationalism"

Proposal 1: Desecrating our national flag is an insult to our nation. For some people, it is the same of stopping them in the street and spitting in their face. I cant think of any "need" to desecrate the national flag to prove anything. I think a fine would be perfectly in place.

Proposal 2: Refugges that are not victim of extreme circunstances, are not refugees, but regular inmigrants. A refugee is someone who had to flee from their country.

Proposal 3: I dont think that singing the anthem is such a restriction of personal freedoms as you make it look. Kids go to school to learn, and singing the anthem might interest them in our history and culture. Worst-case scenario is they will be singing a song that represents nothing for them. They will be able to live with that I think.

Proposal 4: "Minimal controls" doesnt sound so safe. I remember Trabajo y Libertad being worried about forged documents, Im sure minimal controls wouldnt detect them, but strong controls might. We are not talking asbout closing our borders here. If you have nothing to hide, you have nothing to worry about. (The law is the one that decides "who has something to hide" - The very law that we make here).

MessageDesecrating the national flag is only a spit in the face to nationalists like you. Surely you would say 'freedom of speech, we must let Nazis hold their rallies', but that is a spit in the face to Jews. How about private industry? Is that not a spit in the face to anarchists, socialists and communists? A spit in the face to a few sometimes must be accepted, since we cannot protect all groups simultaneously.

"Victim of extreme circumstance" - like persecution because of an unjust law? What about the persecution of the Armenians by the Ottomans? Yeah, that was extreme, it's now illegal to deny that it was a holocaust in France. How about what McCarthy did to the communists in America? Extreme enough for you? How about the situation in East Germany? There were many refugees from there, and fair enough - their country was poorer than it's neighbour, and its vast possibility for wealth had been abused by the USSR to industrialise, but it wasn't really 'Extreme'.

What if the national anthem had proposals in it that were directly contradictory to your beliefs. What if our national anthem were L'Internationale? Would you want your children to HAVE to sing that? Forcing anyone to do anything is against the name of Freedom. If the children have a possibility to be interested in the history of our nation, they are more likely to take interest for other reasons. In fact, they may very well rebel against our state if they were forced to sign its anthem.

Strict border controls prevents travel, if our nation is so great, then people must come to see it if we want them to believe it too. For instance, lots of British people go to America, but very few go to Russia. Is this to do with the language barrier? Well, they go to Spain and Greece. Is it to do with travel time? Moscow is far closer than Washington City. Is it to do with the insane amount of paperwork and daft questions that you have to go through to get a travel visa for Russia? I haven't done a poll about it, but I'm guessing the answer is 'yes'.

MessageDavostan first, everyone else last
is the best compliment i´ve been told in the game.

PLS, you´re just BLA BLA BLA BLA BLA.
stick to the discussion!
1)communist, nazis, socialist, jews, nationalists. we certainly don´t know if those are a majority in Davostan. probably not. There´s one thing I´m certain of: Davostanis are big majority in Davostan! wow, didn´t you notice that?

you don´t need to be such a patriotic man like me to feel a minimum respect for your flag. then protecting the flag is protecting all the groups at the same time. I actually comprehend that people fight for several causes, wether I support them or not. You might fight against private property, for private property, for human rights, you may claim for justice, for income distribution, etc. Those are REAL GROUPS. BUT A GROUP FIGHTING TO BE ABLE TO SPIT A FLAG?? c'mon, that ain´t serious.

Let me tell you story, real life: 5 years ago, a bunch of English assholes came to Argentina, got drunk, stepped on an Argentinean flag, desecrated it and finally burned it. They were arrested and deported (They should´ve been shot, damn). Now, would you like that to happen in your country??

what happened in germany.. has nothing to with this. may be they just had a law which said, we want no immigrants. THIS LAW ACCEPTS IMM IN EXTREME SITUATIONS. Now, there´s another big detail you´re hiding.
WEST GERMANY ENCOURAGED AND HELPED EASTERN GERMANS CROSS THE IRON CURTAIN. IF EVERY EASTERN GERMAN THAT WANTED TO LEAVE EG COULD´VE ACTUALLY CROSSED, WEST GERM´S POPULATION WOULD´VE DOUBBLED. were did you want to put them? INFRASTRUCTURE COLLAPSE, THAT´S CALLED.

NATIONAL anthem hardly will be L' INTERNATIONALE (because that´s not a NATIONAL anthem by definition). please, think with your brains.

Russia´s got such bureaucracy just because it´s Russia. AND YOU SAID IT YOURSELF, GETTING INTO THE US IS REALLY EASY. FUCK, THERE ARE NO TOUGHER CONTROLS THAN AMERICAN BORDER!! THAT´S TOUGH AND EFFICIENT BORDER CONTROL.

MessageFND, you´re just BLA BLA BLA BLA BLA.

Feeling respect towards your national flag is fine if you like that sort of thing, I'm sure many people do feel it - however, most of these people will also feel that freedom of expression is more important than forced respect. The only group who will not are those crazy nationalists, who you admit are probably a minority.

If someone wants to come here and burn my national flag, fine - let them. I, for one, won't stop them.

West Germany's population was over 60 million by 1990, whereas East Germany was just over 15 million. Even if the entire population moved to the west, the west's population would have barely increased by a quarter again. Also, these were refugees from East Germany, which was hardly an extreme circumstance. Quality of life in East Germany was the best amongst the Soviet bloc, and was probably superior to the quality of life found by many former citizens after reunification.

L'Internationale was used as a de facto national anthem in the USSR until the adoption of the Hymn of the USSR by Stalin during WW2.

The USA doesn't really have particularly tight border controls for EU passport holders entering the country, probably because of information agreements between Brussels and Washington. However, this does not change the fact that a difficult time getting into the country will not encourage tourists, who may like our nation and desire to contribute towards it.

Messageyou let people burn your flag in fornt of you. Do you also let touch your girlfriends ass?

"Quality of life in East Germany was the best amongst the Soviet bloc, and was probably superior to the quality of life found by many former citizens after reunification." bullshit. There´s no way a soviet slavist state can have superior quality of life than the actual unified Germany. HAVE YOU EVER HEARD ABOUT THE FAMOUS GERMAN WELFARE STATE?

I don´t give a shit what the soviet used as anthem. by definition, if it´s international, then it´s not national.

Random fact: Large scale RP planning (such as wars, regional/continental conflicts, economic collapse, etc.) should be planned (as best as it can be) and should have consent of a majority of players involved.
