Message | While we believe in freedom and freedom of choice we do not believe allowing harm to others whether the harm be physical, mental or otherwise. Discrimination so called 'positive' or otherwise in any form does harm as it can lead to segregation, promote negative attitude toward and diminish the chance of success in life of an individual or group who are discriminated against. |

Message | While we are supporters of positive discrimination, it seems that this would also allow negative discrimination as well, would it not? |

Message | Surely all positive discrimination results in negative discrimination against those not chosen because that another was chosen on a basis not related to the purpose they are being selected. For example: If there were ten people applying for a job, one was of a minority group. If the minority person were chosen because they were that and not because they were more suited to the position than others in the group then that person has received positive discrimination and the others negative. This we believe is wrong the only consideration in any such situation is suitability to the role in question... not race, religion etc. Hence what maybe considered are qualifications, experience, and in certain situations were physical ability is essential then physical fitness for the role maybe judged. Also to a very limited extent personality, we understand that an employer would not want to employ someone who seems likely to be late frequently, or who seems untrustworthy. Though an employer should have significant reason to refuse an applicant on such grounds... i.e. some evidence such as the applicant late for an interview, not assumptions based on personal prejudice. |

Random fact: When it comes to creating a Cultural Protocol in a Culturally Open nation, players are not necessarily required to provide a plausible backstory for how the nation's cultural background developed. However, the provision of a plausible backstory may be a factor in whether Moderation approves the Cultural Protocol if players in surrounding nations question its appropriateness for their region of the game map. |
