From | Ikradonian Interest | To | Debating the ID card revision | Message | So how are people's right violated this time then? They'll have to carry around some plastic that states what their identity is? |

From | Iqembu Sokusebenzisana Yeningi | To | Debating the ID card revision | Message | What possible purpose does this serve? It is indeed a violation of rights not to be permitted to leave ones home without identification. Freedom of movement, and freedom from unreasonable searches, are basic rights. |

From | Bicky Forever - MSCC | To | Debating the ID card revision | Message | For BF, this proposal is very reasonable, because it works well in most of the developed countries in the real world. We will support. |

From | Ikradonian Interest | To | Debating the ID card revision | Message | freedom of movement is not hindered, freedom from unreasonable searches is not violated. Leaving your home with an ID card isn't such a big deal, people take with them tons of plastic cards nowadays. |

From | Iqembu Sokusebenzisana Yeningi | To | Debating the ID card revision | Message | So if I forget my card when leaving home I am a criminal. Sometimes the people here amaze me.
What industrialized country in the real world has such a policy? |

From | Bicky Forever - MSCC | To | Debating the ID card revision | Message | Almost every European country, one of which I live in. I can guarantee you that no one opposes it because of human rights. When the police find a car after a crash, the injured passenger or the surviving relatives will be happy that the body can be identified, thanks to that identity card.
(and no, I don't live in a country where there is a police officer on every street corner to check your identity! it's almost only used in cases of crime, emergencies or the proove you deserve a price reduction in the cinema because you're under 20) |

From | Libertarian-Communist Party | To | Debating the ID card revision | Message | How do you know the ID cards in this bill will have electronic signatures. That and whats an electronic signature? |

From | Bicky Forever - MSCC | To | Debating the ID card revision | Message | If you can use a driver's license for the case a car accident happens and a student card for the cinema, a fan card of your favourite football club, one with all your data to use in the hospital, ... or just one "universal" card with your name, adress and date of birth, I would know which would be the easiest alternative. |
