UNLESS patient has previously (before accident...ect) signed documentation that if he or she falls into a comma and on life support state that he or she requests death. When a person becomes a vegetable, yet has no prior documentation then Euthanasia should always be illegal. If a person is in pain and his told that he or she has 3 months or whatever time allotment to live. Euthanasia should always be illegal. BECAUSE: Both cases although contrary to popular belief the medical field is not perfect. Especially regarding recovery of patients. They do not know everything. We have all heard the stories about people who were given 5 years to live and lived 25. Or take the guy who was not supposed to wake of from a comma that he fell into after suffering a car accident. WHO THEN AWAKES 18 bleeping years later and his able to communicate (talk). This case of course baffled the medical community. |
