Bill: Patents to encourage innovation (II)

Details

Submitted by[?]: Supporters of Science in Design (IP)

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: December 2434

Description[?]:

We feel that should scientists be allowed to patent software algorithms on a temporary basis, for this would encourage more technology companies to arise in Maliva. If we wish to share in our rightful portion of the Tech Revolution, we need to make conditions in our country conducive to promoting the growth of that sector.

Without patent rights, companies have no incentive to innovate, because any fruits of effort they expend could be stolen by competition.
