Bill: Retirement Act
Details
Submitted by[?]: People's Front of Indrala
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: December 2436
Description[?]:
We believe the professional retirement age is lowered from 70 to 65. Seventy years old is way too old for our workers to be on the job. Around this age, mental fibers can really begin to disappear, possibly creating more mistakes being made on the job and decreasing the efficiency of the company they work for. |

Message | Today's 70 year olds are sharper and healthier than the 70 years olds of a generation ago. We feel 70 is a reasonable standard retirement age. We also point out that lowering the retirement age to 65 would significantly increase the burgeoning costs of maintaining the state pension. |

Random fact: In cases where a party has no seat, the default presumption should be that the party is able to contribute to debates in the legislature due to one of its members winning a seat at a by-election. However, players may collectively improvise arrangements of their own to provide a satisfying explanation for how parties with no seats in the legislature can speak and vote there. |
