Description[?]:

A nation's force of might is it's pride, it's bulwarks against the foreign hordes that seek to destroy it. It is the first thing considered when judging international worth, and the final word in international matters. That said, why doesn't it have a higher priority in our society?

Right now, there in no compulsion for our citizens to join the military and fight for our glory. This is absurd. After all, are not children taught that they must earn their allowance? Why should we allow them, as adults, to live off of the blood of other patriots?

We propose a mandatory military service. All students graduating high school will be examined by the military, and plugged in to the branch that suits them best. The benefits are many; not only are they taking an active part in the glory of our nation, but they are learning a trade and getting a guaranteed job right out of high school. Should we allow them the freedom to starve as one of the unemployed masses? I think not.

MessageBy making it mandatory for graduates to serve in the military, you will be stifling the intellectual and creative minds that the nation produces in its school. While I might be inclined to think that in times of dire need military service could be made mandatory, I will not support any motion to make in mandatory at all times.

MessageI disagree. These intellectual and creative minds will be allowed to grow, but within the rigid doctrine of our military, where it can do some good to our government and, by extension, our society in general. If we do not direct these young minds towards worthwhile goals, then their talents would be squandered or, worse, set against us.

MessageThis isn't slavery; it's simply the chance for graduating students to get a guaranteed job, learn a trade, and learn the pleasure of serving the nation.

MessageThis would foster civic pride and allow these young individuals, who we have given so much to, a chance to give back to their great nation.
