Bill: Pursuit of Happiness Act
Details
Submitted by[?]: Ordo Inordatum
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: June 2438
Description[?]:
Ancient Rome and Greece are often mentioned as the pinnacles of democracy, yet our nation willingly restricts the joyous decadence that marked such truly great lands. With these measures, we can become a shining example of Epicurean delight. This bill seeks to improve the quality of life while introducing many new economic opportunities. The tourism sector will thrive with an influx of wealthy libertines from neighboring lands, and the taxation of these commodities will rejuvenate the local infrastructure. Furthermore, a populace fattened on the marrow of eagles and titillated with pornographic spectacles is a populace too preoccupied to rebel or worry needlessly about governmental directives, thus lowering the potential for domestic unrest. |
