Bill: Elections Every Three Years Act
Details
Submitted by[?]: Freedom Party
Status[?]: passed
Votes: This bill is a resolution. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: October 2094
Description[?]:
Currently we have elections every 30 months. This leads to an election in July and January. We feel that Government and Opposition would be better served by an election every 3 years. This gives both the government and opposition more time to respond to incidents and pass legislation and also ensures that elections are not too frequent as to be cumbersome to the populace. 3 years is still a very short time between elections. [OOC: This gives us an election every 6 days which gives us all more time to respond to incidents and means we have longer to hold votes and achieve our policies.] |

Random fact: Players have a responsibility to differentiate between OOC (out-of-character) and IC (in-character) behaviour, and to make clear when they are communicating in OOC or IC terms. Since Particracy is a role-playing game, IC excesses are generally fine, but OOC attacks are not. However, players must not presume this convention permits them to harass a player with IC remarks that have a clear OOC context. |
