Bill: Modernization of the Military

Details

Submitted by[?]: Kafuristani National Socialist Party

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: January 2439

Description[?]:

The purpose of this bill is to fully modernize and make the armed forces of Kafuristan stronger, more adaptable, and more powerful than before.

Article One: Nationalization of the Military-Industrial Complex. This allows for a more centralized military industrial complex, and allows for research and development, and production, to occur by what the military needs, and can do so efficiently, without the need of middlemen, or other pointless business transactions.

Article Two: Establishing a Civilian Police Force. The military is to be used as a weapon of war. Requiring the military to be used as a police force weakens the military overall, and lessens the effectiveness of the troops in battle.

Article Three: Options of Conscription: The very concept of conscription is against the accepted doctrines of a professional military, which is required for a superior military force in today's world. However, we still feel it should be mandatory for all people to serve their nation in such a fashion at some point. The purpose for optional conscription in the military itself, is that the option is then open for them, after their term is served, to continue on and make a career out of the military. The exact specifics of such a decision may be worked out within the Defence Ministry.

MessageWe support, but for entirely different reasons. A military as police force is a foolish idea, as we should not be a police state. Conscription is unjust, as no one should be forced to fight. Finally, the people's money should not be spent in order to make the rich richer and the poor poorer.
