Voting deadline: July 2438
Description[?]:
Friends, we understand that you wish to limit the power of the military, and we do not contest that under most circumstances it would be inappropriate, even dangerous, to give the men of the military police powers. However, unusual and temporary circumstances do happen. What if a natural disaster, say, an earthquake or a hurricane led to rioting, or disruption in public transportation such that the police, or others without access to military equipment could not go where police were needed. I do not suggest that soldiers be given police powers casually, or for more than the briefest amount of time, but in case of God`s severe wrath, we should not tie our own hands. |
