Bill: Banning of religious schools.
Details
Submitted by[?]: Outer Church
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: April 2438
Description[?]:
We realize there is already legislation on the floor regarding private run schools, but we felt that we should address the issue of religious schools separately. The Outer Church does not believe we should allow such schools to exist. There is nothing useful a religious school can teach that a public school cannot, and there is much that they can get wrong. Religious schools serve no useful purpose except to indoctrinate another generation to regard their god first, and their society second. |
