Message | We do not agree, as we believe that a Government Agency should still exist, we do agree on a deregulation of private space-exploration. |
Date | 22:44:11, August 01, 2007 CET | From | Capitalist Working Families | To | Debating the Space Exploration Bill |
Message | Although we strongly support funding and encouragement of Space Exploration beyond the Solar System etc., it would be foolhardy to allow total UNREGULATED space exploration. I mean, an Al-Qaeda cell lurking the shadows of Rutania can fly up to the Moon and drop a bomb right directly overhead. Not to mention that scam artists could hijack Government and private media entities' satellite systems. |
Date | 16:24:53, August 02, 2007 CET | From | Neo-Epicurean Party | To | Debating the Space Exploration Bill |
Message | The exploration of space is an enormous undertaking that will benefit all people. While the Neo-Epicurean Party stands for small government in most cases, we believe that this is an area in which the government has a legitimate function, and can accomplish the goals of space exploration better than private enterprise. This bill us not clearly worded, but it would seem to imply that the government has no role to play in space exploration, a position which we oppose. |
