Message | We strongly support the spirit of this bill, but cannot support articles 1 and 4. We fail to see the need for licensing alcohol vendors beyond filling government coffers. We also support private property rights, which article 4 somewhat tramples on. However, articles 2 and 3 have our complete and steadfast support. |
Date | 08:26:33, August 06, 2007 CET | From | Quasi-Libertarian Party | To | Debating the Vice Act of 2441 |
Message | Against Article 1 because of the aforementioned reason by the Federalist Party. The government need not get involved with licensing. In support of Article 2. Article 3 I am ambivalent to since both options are viable. Article 4 should be left up to the local community, so I am opposed. |
Date | 23:01:42, August 06, 2007 CET | From | United Right Party | To | Debating the Vice Act of 2441 |
Message | We are willing to drop Article 1, as it is not critical to the intent of the bill. We feel that an appropriate compromise can also be reached on the smoking issue: removing the licensing requirements in favor of enforcing non-smoking areas, which we feel is a fair price for employers to pay in order to set their own smoking regulations. |
Date | 23:11:05, August 06, 2007 CET | From | Moralist Liberal Party | To | Debating the Vice Act of 2441 |
Message | Except for Article 4, we support this bill. It's better to allow the localities to determine what "moral sensibilities" its citizens have. |
Date | 05:28:25, August 09, 2007 CET | From | Radical Wantunism Cult | To | Debating the Vice Act of 2441 |
Message | The LSF strongly does not support this bill, because it is only trampling on the people's rights and an attempt to create a larger government. |
