Status[?]: passed
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: July 2440
Description[?]:
Trade Unions have been allowed to exist in Mordusia for the very purpose of providing a balance against employer abuse, when it comes to pay, working conditions, or unfair treatment in the workplace. Unfortunately, Trade Unions, along with the Mordusian Liberation Front have abused these privilages such as striking, and being able to work as a team. They had been given the right to strike for legitimate purposes only, not to punish businesses, who have nothing to do with the government of Mordusia, because the government has made desisions they have nessasarily disagreed on. Therefore, this government finds Trade Unions guilty of abusing such privilages granted to them, and will find other means of protecting Mordusian workers. This bill stipulates that not only Trade Unions be made obselete, but that a "Court of Workplace Relations" be established, for a means for businesses and workers to come together and have their grievences solved at the hand of a Judge. If there are found any abnormalities or abuses on either side of the table, the Judge shall decree on behalf of both parties, in favor of creating a healthy, fair, and beneficial workplace environment. |

Message | The disturbance in the labour market is inevitable in a capitalist economy. Every workplace is an arena for irreconcilable class conflicts. In an unregulated economy, Trade Unions will spawn of necessity. The Capitalist Party is now restricting the liberties of the workers, offending it's own liberal values. "Court of Workplace Relations" would only be another addition to the machinery of the ruling/the propertied classes. To create a healthy, fair, and beneficial workplace environment, we have a better solution to offer: the Democratic Workers Councils. |
