Bill: Taxation Bill 2440
Details
Submitted by[?]: Totalitarian Capitalist Party
Status[?]: passed
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: March 2441
Description[?]:
We must treat our nations corporations more justly and fairly, in order to encourage growth and prosperity. By making a short term sacrifice, we will encourage more companies to form, and help them grow faster. To offset this slightly, we propose that we raise the tax on luxury items, and start taxing religious organisations. It is unfair, that under current law, the income of religious groups is not taxed. If they make money, we should be allowed to tax it, like we do for everyone else. |

Message | We at the N.E.O. are concerned whether or not the money brought in by the taxation of religion will be enough to offset the 5% cut across the board of corporate taxes, given that the people of this nation lean more towards the secular, as opposed to the religious, but we will ratify this bill nonetheless. |

Message | It is highly likely that the tax cut for corporations will lead more companies to settle in our state. This means the tax income per company will be lower, but it will be higher in the end because the number of companies will grow. |

Message | Indeed, while it may be a sacrifice in the short term, in the long term more businesses will spring up, and due to less financial pressure from taxes, they will grow faster too. |
Date | 08:54:48, August 07, 2007 CET | From | New Age Retro Hippies | To | Debating the Taxation Bill 2440 |
Message | This only hurts the poor and impoverished who are helped by religious charities, while simultaneously taking the burden off the powerful corporations. We cannot support this bill in any form. |
