Bill: Cabinet Proposal of April 2440

Details

Submitted by[?]: Supporters of Science in Design (IP)

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This bill presents the formation of a cabinet. It requires more than half of the legislature to vote yes. Traditionally, parties in the proposal vote yes, others (the opposition) vote no. This bill will pass as soon as the required yes votes are in and all parties in the proposal have voted yes, or will be defeated if unsufficient votes are reached on the deadline.

Voting deadline: December 2440

Description[?]:

Proposing a Cabinet

In an attempt to get a cabinet passed, this time we have left out those who abstained or voted against the past two attempts.

MessageTypically parties who would vote similarly to my own have got seats in this setup.

I would be more receptive to voting yes should the PMOS be awarded some representation.

We abstained last time purely on the grounds we had no idea of the political leanings of parties in Malivia due to our recent inclusion to the political scene.

MessageThe United Libertarian Socialist Front supported the last cabinet proposal, therefore why has it not be given any ministries? As such, we cannot support this bill.

MessageULSF voted against the March of 2439 proposal, which is why we did not include them in this one. It is not intended to be a slight against their party, but rather a pragmatic move to make sure we secured enough support to quickly establish a cabinet, as it has been far too long since the last one - in our opinion. While we prefer having cabinets with all parties with seats being a part, the danger of those is that should any of those parties vote no or abstain the motion fails.

We wanted to give PMfaOS a seat, however, we feared that it would set a bad prescient, as they currently have no seats.

MessageWe can see logic in the SSDs decision. We are underrepresented right now, this will change. Until such a time we do not take our exlusion as offence :)
