MessageI would prefer to see ANYONE but the hypocritical FIP sitting once again in their coveted Foreign Affairs seat, but rather than that, 1 seat is better than no seats, so it will be supported hesitantly.

Message((OOC: Might I ask what happened to the last cabinet? I wasn't on long yesterday for various reasons and must have missed anything that happened.))

We have a policy here at the Federal Independent Party and that would be to respect the wishes of the Supreme President's final decision regarding the constructs of the Cabinet, unless those decisions put the nation at peril. However, we will push for changes of the Cabinet until the Supreme President has finalized all selections.

We would like to make sure that any Liberal Minister of Defense would be fully willing to cooperate with the Federal Independent Party in accord to the latest problems that have happened.

Instead of Science and Technology, we would much rather implement our services in the Trade and Industry Division. Under our Minister, we would be sure trade deals are cut fairly and that workers are given proper compensation as well as benefits. We have a strong history of managing Solentia's Trade and Industry Division with widespread success. As the party that introduced and helped to ratify the Hulstria Free Trade Agreement, Solentia benefited from a secure and safe trade deal that increased the success of the nation's economy.

We are glad that President Evans has selected the Federal Independent Party for Foreign Affairs. Under our past services, we have been solely the only party in this nation to ressurect Solentia's ability to communicate and negotiate with outside nations. After Solentia was abandoned by the terrorist nuncirists, we battled the communists until they gave into democracy and its wishes. As the party holding Foreign Affairs, we ended the Cold War with Wantuni, reestablished ties with Kanjor, Cobura, and Jakania. Solentia greatly benefited from an internationalist Foreign policy under our Foreign Affairs Minister. Under the Federal Independent Party's Foreign Affairs programs, Solentia ratified more treaties than it had in centuries. Many treaties brought a new look to Solentia: a look that told the world we had ended our centuries of terrorism and war mongering politics and that we looked forward to a peaceful world. These treaties created long lost relations with democratic and free nations which further promoted this nation as a new Solentia.

We thank President Evans for selecting a candidate from our party to serve as his Senate Warden. It is good to see the tradition of parties working together bi-partisanly back again.

We have many reservations to support a cabinet with a terrorist party inclusive of it that would seek to murder innocents...however, we will most likely support this cabinet based on the fact that opposing it may cause a government shut-down. And we most certainly would not like to repeat what the CPS did under the latest FIP Presidents and would especially not like to betray the people like they have.

We look forward to a new government under Supreme President Evans.

Message((OOC: I don't think you missed much. I just changed my mind about a few of the cabinet positions, nothing major =) ))

I completely understand your concern as to the selection of the Defence Minister. The latest problems are my primary reason for selecting an LPS candidate, as the LPS are fully aware of the situation and aim to have it resolved as soon as possible.

I would like the FIP to broaden their horizons by taking the Science and Techonolgy portfolio. I understand that you would like to manage the Trade and Industry due to pass successes. However, I feel that the Labour Party would be able to agree deals etc. that is both of benefit to the economy, but also implementing the safety and wishes of the workers. I see the FIP as a perfect Science and Technology candidates, as I am convinced of their ability to handle the controversial issues that could arise in potential research.

Due to the FIP's diplomatic skills, I can see no better candidate to keep foreign relations strong, and also for the position of Senate Warden. I feel the FIP is well respected by most in this country.

I understand your reservations. However, I feel not including the said party would cause more problems than including it. I can assure you, the LPS will not be intimidated by the CPS.
