Bill: Prisoners must work while serving jail time

Details

Submitted by[?]: Revolutionary Socialist Workers Party

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: February 2442

Description[?]:

Why should a convicted criminal be allowed to relax in prison? Prison is not a spa, tax payers pay for prisons, staff, and the meals of the prisoners. Lets make prisoners work for their food like everyone else. Prisoners took something from society when they committed a crime, lets make them give something back.

ToDebating the Prisoners must work while serving jail time
MessageWe are not in support of this. Our view of prison is that it should be a place of rehabilitation, not a place for punishment, or giving back to society. The current law allows prisoners to make money while incarcerated, giving them opportunity to get a good start back into the world.
