| Having defeated the anti-democratic forces of the S-MRA at Port Clemens, the Mordusian Security and Intelligence Organization has informed the government that the Mordusian Liberation Front... along with its external and international allies, have called upon the Communist Dictatorship of Gaduridos is planning an imminent invasion of the Free Republic of Mordusia, to undermine the democratic process of Mordusia and to force the freedom-loving peoples of Mordusia into accepting the rulingship of a Communist Dictatorship. Parties of the democratic left, I urge you not to become blinded with your affliations of ideology, rather, to see that the democratic process and soveriegnty of this nation must prevail. Change must come at the hand of a free and open election, not the gun or an invasion of a soveriegn force. As the party in control of the Ministry of Defense, I release the following figures: 110,000 Soldiers Remain in Active Duty. 0 Soldiers Remain in Reserve. In short assessment, this government fears that the fighting men and women of the Mordusian Armed Forces are far too exhausted to effectively defend this nation. Thus, desperate times call for desperate measures, and we call upon the more moderate and democratically minded parties of Mordusia to approve of legislation to enact conscription, effective immediatly. Figures: 10% of the Mordusian Citizenry to be Called Into Service (12 Million Mordusians) 1/6 of These Mordusians Expected to Fight, On Rotating Basis (2 Million Mordusians) Conscripted Soldiers Expected to Have the Strength of a Fighting Militia Effective Strength: Equal to 1.3 Million Professional Soldiers Friends, during a time when the soveriegnty of Mordusia is at stake, we must remain united by nationality, and for our love of freedoms that democracy continues to guarentee us. Let us not be divided by ideology, but rather to uphold the rule of law, and democracy itself.
