Bill: Gun ban
Details
Submitted by[?]: Revolutionary Socialist Workers Party
Status[?]: passed
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: December 2442
Description[?]:
This bill serves to make it illegal for individuals to own a firearm. We no longer live in the time of Cowboys and Indians. We don't need guns anymore. Too many innocent people are murdered and killed accidentally each year because of guns. Let's get guns out of homes before they reach the street. Police and other authorized professionals will still be allowed to carry guns. |

Old value:: Adult individuals may own guns under strict license conditions.

Date | 00:24:15, August 14, 2007 CET | From | Libertarian Party of Tukarali | To | Debating the Gun ban |
Message | Sorry, but thugs are always going to have guns. It's called a black market and only creates more crime and violence. If you take away gun rights completely, you might as well declare this nation a police state. |
Date | 09:14:01, August 14, 2007 CET | From | Greenish Liberal Democratic Socialists | To | Debating the Gun ban |
Message | We'ld like to keep the current license agreement. |
Date | 17:18:37, August 15, 2007 CET | From | Bull Moose Party | To | Debating the Gun ban |
Message | Outlawing guns will depress our native gun industry and be impossible to enforce. I support the current regulation. Opposed. |
Date | 06:02:11, August 16, 2007 CET | From | Tukarali Communist Party | To | Debating the Gun ban |
Message | We believe that guns should be illegal for nearly everyone, but that militias be exempted from this. If citizens cannot form militia groups with weapons, the state will have a monopoly on violence, and there could never be an uprising to destroy an unpopular government. |
