Message | The M. N. U. F. stands in full support of this measure. It is the local governments whom must deal with the byproducts of the casino's. As it stands with no regulation, casino's are a free-for-all and central responsibility over taxation is at the best, a mess! As is, we collect regional level taxes so why don't we allow a bit of federalism creep back into Malivia and give regional governments the ability to zone and plan accordingly for casinos within their respective locales. Further to the point, it is the casinos that bring in local tax revenues and for us on the Federal level to double-tax them; this isn't a major incentive for these types of entertainment venues to come to Malivia. Once again I would urge my colleagues in support of this measure. |

Date | 22:22:04, August 13, 2007 CET | From | United Malivia | To | Debating the Gambling restriction-making rights given to local governments |
Message | United Malivia believes that gambling should be heavily regulated by the National Government, instead of local governments. We must control gambling and United Malivia under one stronger national government, instead of many small state governments. |
