Bill: God is dead
Details
Submitted by[?]: Syndicalists
Status[?]: passed
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: August 2442
Description[?]:
Let's face it: religion is a lie, a fantasy, a means of keeping the people stupid and in line so the government can more easily repress them. It is time we do away with this stupid idea that an invisible man controls our lives. God is dead! Men have to save themselves instead of praying to a false idol to do it for them! |

Message | This is insane to start ridding the nation of any religion. That is completely taking people's rights away which is the opposite of what I thought we were about. I am completely for disconnecting church and state, but i think this is a little extreme. It is very important for people to have faith and it is helpful for kids to grow up believing in something like religion. |
Date | 19:04:18, August 13, 2007 CET | From | United Selucian Party | To | Debating the God is dead |
Message | The United Selucian Party agrees with articles 2 and 4, but not with articles 1 and 3. We are unsure how we will vote in this manner. |
Date | 08:25:53, August 14, 2007 CET | From | Syndicalists | To | Debating the God is dead |
Message | Note that religion is not actually banned, as such. It is merely stripped of all its wordly power, they are no longer allowed to indoctrinate children or advertise themselves in any way. People are not banned from performing rituals in their homes or belonging to a religion, but this will make religion nothing more than a personal matter, as it should be. |

Message | We applaud any move to rid society of outdated superstitions and irrationality. |

Random fact: "Game mechanics comes first." For example, if a currently-enforced bill sets out one law, then a player cannot claim the government has set out a contradictory law. |
Random quote: "Every gun that is made, every warship launched, every rocket signifies, in the final sense, a theft from those who hunger and are not fed, from those who are cold and are not clothed. The world in arms is not spending money alone. It is spending the sweat of its laborers, the genius of its scientists, the hopes of its children." - Dwight D. Eisenhower |
