MessageThis is a slap in the face to democracy. The people have chosen who they want to see in the cabinet by granting us these seats. And as the third largest party in Zardugal I have none!

MessageMy friends, this isn't about being greedy with who controls what cabinet positions; rather, it is about Zardugal having a government that reflects the wishes of its citizens. A majority of the population made the decision to vote for parties outside our current cabinet, and now the Cavalier Party makes a mockery of the democratic process by ensuring that its own flunkies are appointed to key ministries. This cannot stand.

Message"Gentlemen, its called politics. I have assembled a cabinet that will work most effectively together. If I included all the parties, I would encumber the government with a slew of competing ideologies battling eachother and not focusing on running the government."

-the Lord Lingford, President of the Republic

MessageThe National Party understands the politics involved, and apologizes for its earlier outrage. It's just that the National Party was pretty proud of its performance in the most recent election.

ToDebating the Cabinet Proposal of November 2442
MessageThe Cavalier have put together a Government of parties that have a general consensus on most issues and will, I am confident, bring stability.

This proposed cabinet is not undemocratic. At the end of the day, more people voted for parties in Government than now. The reasons for this selection are honest and any suggestions to the contrary are merely a case of sour grapes.

The Progressive Liberals look forward to working with our Governmental partners and in working hard in our ministries.

FromLiberty Party
ToDebating the Cabinet Proposal of November 2442
MessageWell gentlemen, the time has come for the Liberty Party to break this tie. We'd prefer early elections be called, and a clear majority be found, before we submit to a cabinet of, what is it, 5 different parties.
And besides, the Liberty Party must have the office of Foreign Affairs before voting in favor of a cabinet.
