| Message | Chancellor is a common name for the head of government. We feel that our head of government's duties extend beyond that of a "Warden" of the Senate. Chancellor comes from the Latin word "cancellarius". The first to encompass the term "cancellarius" were "Cancellarii" working in the courts of Justice. Therefore Chancellor, derived from "Cancellarii" represents the equality and justice which Solentia must strive towards in the future. We can understand the reservations you have about changing the name of the second most powerful office in our nation. | Message | You make some good points Mr. Evans and we cannot ignore them. However, we as a whole are very attached to the title Senate Warden. We are the original creaters of the title and bill and have a good history with it. Aside from the latest decade of severe partisan bicker and malicious legislations, the Senate Warden stood for bi-partisan politics in a world of extremely vast ideologies and as a position of progression between the Supreme Archbishop (now known as the Supreme President) and the Senate. It's history is vibrant, bold, and eventful and remains to this day a key figure in Solentian politics. It is the existing bond between the most powerful executive in Solentia and the highest body of legislators. We will debate amongst ourselves on this issue and make a decision within the near future.
