Bill: Liberalization of Religion Act
Details
Submitted by[?]: Telamonese Cultural Alliance
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: February 2447
Description[?]:
This time, we'll actually debate this first. One of our main supporters, the Telamonese Orthodox Church, currently in exile in Hutori, would like to return to Telamon and operate its hirearchy. As a national church, the TOC is unlikely to cause unfortunate foreign entanglements. Ideally, we'd like to see official status granted to the TOC, but are willing to settle for mere legalization. |
Proposals
Article 1
Proposal[?] to change Government policy concerning religions.
Old value:: Any form of religion is banned.
Current: There is no official state religion, but the government only allows recognized religions. 'Cults' are persecuted.
Proposed: There is no government policy concerning a state religion.

Message | The free humanity is strongly opposed to all forms of religion, supernatural belief, superstition, and unfounded myths and legends. Whether organised, or not. As a side note, though, we do encourage you to keep trying, as it affords us visibility on the matter. |
