Bill: Religous Schooling
Details
Submitted by[?]: Dorvish Popular Front
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: September 2095
Description[?]:
We feel that parents should have maximum choice in the upbringing of their child. As such, if the parents wish their child to be brought up in a religous environment they should be entitled to. Furthermore, as a party that doesnt believe in govt intervention, we dont feel the govt should regulate schools. Just because the government says it is right it doesnt mean it is so. A free market provides the opportunity of self-regulation, if the school has a bad reputation it will not be able to continue as parents will not want their child going there. |
Proposals
Article 1
Proposal[?] to change The governments stance on religious schools.
Old value:: Any religion may set up a school, but they are strictly regulated.
Current: Religious schools are allowed, but are strictly regulated. Only recognised religions may set up religious schools.
Proposed: Any religion may set up a school, with no regulations.

Message | Let us eliminate the regulations on non-religious private schools then, too. We think it would be hypocritical to do it just for religious schools, while leaving non-religious schools highly regulated. |

Message | We will decide whether to vote 'yes' or 'no' on this bill later, but that is our chief objection. |

Message | Well why not propose that in a different bill? I dont see how that affects the principle behind this bill, the reason I proposed this is that in a previous bill of ours you said you agreed with it and so I was more confident of it passing. |

Random fact: "Game mechanics comes first." For example, if a currently-enforced bill sets out one law, then a player cannot claim the government has set out a contradictory law. |
