Message | Some excellent suggestions here... and some where we perceive some real conflict. On balance... we simply cannot support. For example - why make ALL television stations private? Is it so bad that there be state-sponsored educational packages rather than all channels being dedicated to maximised return on investment. We all know what that leads to - in the end - tits and ass on every channel, and 'reality' tv from dusk till dawn because it's cheaper than real programming. It's a shame. If the defence elements of this bill were separated from the rest, we could support. In the context of this agenda we are going to have to oppose legislation we are firmly in favour of, because we cannot accept the material that overwhelms it. |

Message | We are willing to compromise on some issues in order to get this passed. For example, would you feel better about 12 if we included a government run station along with the private ones? |

Message | We agree with: One, Nine, Eleven and Twelve. We could be convinced on Two, Four and Ten. Everything else is either unnecessarily extreme (Articles 5 and 6), unreasonable departure from a balanced model (Article Eight), or completely contrary to our platform (Article Seven). |

Message | Articles 5 and 6 have been made less extreme; 7 and 8 will be introduced at a later date when teh results of increased economic freedom have become apparent. (Numbers have changed due to the dropping and adding of proposals) |

Message | As it stands, we have one or two reservations, but we feel we can offer support, with the blessing of our constituents. We thank the AM RLP for finding middleground, we are glad to be able to support a lot of this legislation, and we appreciate the effort of RLP advocates in making it possible. |

Message | Death penalty and nuclear weapons? We won't support that. |

Random fact: Party candidates for head of state elections are not visible to the public. This means that you cannot see who will run and who will not, which adds another strategic element to the elections. |
