Message | Prostitution is older than civilisation. People have sold their bodies since the dawn of man. It is a thriving trade, with a steady demand and supply. We fail to see any justification for not allowing it to be legal. All those arguments against it resort to morality and semantic appeals. Those arguments about spreading of diseases, are baseless. As a legitimate profession, it can be regulated. And regular health checks can be mandatory. As an illegal act, regulation is impossible. The Free humanity party makes decisions with it's mind. Farther to that, trying to leave it up to local governments is another federalist proposal. Federalism breeds confusion and inconsistency, and we oppose that. And finally, the total lack of a debate period, once again, means that there is no way we can support this. |
Date | 21:23:44, August 25, 2007 CET | From | United Labour Party of Telamon | To | Debating the Prostitution Reform Act 2447 |
Message | The TTIEU believes that prostitution is a critical part of Telamon's tourism industry. We will not be supporting this bill. |
Date | 23:09:34, August 26, 2007 CET | From | Conservative Party | To | Debating the Prostitution Reform Act 2447 |
Message | Please note that we are not illegalising prostitution, nor would we dream of doing so, we simply believe this is better dealt with as a local challenge. |
Date | 02:13:39, August 28, 2007 CET | From | Secular Humanist party | To | Debating the Prostitution Reform Act 2447 |
Message | And local goverments would be free to illegalise it if they wished. Creating inconsistency. |

Random fact: It usually takes up to an hour for election results to generate. During this time, the "Next Election" date is put forward a month, which is confusing. Do not worry! In a short time, the election result will generate and the "Next Election" date will then correct itself. |
