Bill: Prevention of Unintentional Epidemics Act

Details

Submitted by[?]: United Labour Party of Telamon

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: August 2448

Description[?]:

Biological weapons production in our country poses a threat to public health, for even with the strictest security measures, it is still possible for a deadly virus to which we have no resistance to and treatment for to escape and cause a global pandemic. To stop this, we must disarm all our stockpiles of biological weapons and merely use research to defend ourselves against any possible biological weapons threats.

MessageWe will never support measures to reduce our military strength. If there is a security problem, let's deal with it. If such an outbreak occurs we will deal with it. I have faith that we can handle it.

Random fact: By default the head of government is the ultimate authority within a national government. In general terms, heads of government are expected to consult with cabinet colleagues (including those from other parties) before making significant decisions but they remain responsible for government action.

Random quote: "You have to remember one thing about the will of the people: it wasn't that long ago that we were swept away by the Macarena." - Jon Stewart
