Bill: Parental Choice Bill 2447

Details

Submitted by[?]: Anarchistic Kritarchy Party

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: January 2449

Description[?]:

Until they are of legal age children are raised and ruled by their parents. A parent or legal guardian should have the right to do so, as long as they are not breaking any state or national laws.

1. For religious or other reasons, education of this type should be allowed to be refused. While students should be encouraged to take these classes, the decision should still up to the parents/guardians discretion.

I am not sexual education, but I believe that the parents should take a part in what they're children learn.

MessageWe are against both, because we fear that the first one may lead to a restriction of science in our schools, after all, the children deserve to be warned about the consequences of sexual intercourse, may that be because of teenage pregnancies or of illnesses, and that the second one can lead to censorship the moment a less benevolent government than the current one decides to forbid games that are against their political line for children under age in order to remove their abilities to criticise them.
