Bill: Decrease of Corporate Tax

Details

Submitted by[?]: Al'Badara Republican Party

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: April 2448

Description[?]:

To help stimulate growth in our economy we, in the AAP, propose a decrease in the amount of corporate tax from 50% to 33% on profits. This excessively high tax has an effect on large multi-national corporations but also small, independent local entrepreneurs. A vote against this is a vote against helping Mr. Asim El-Turkiey's fish business! But with this tax break, Mr. El-Turkiey can help stimulate our economy by putting his extra money into other businesses which will now suddenly flourish!

MessageWe tax their profit to make sure that the industries (which are all nationalised) are using half their profits to serve the needs of the people whereas the other half of the profit made can be re-invested into the company.

MessageWell, I am assuming that not every single corporate entity (blanketing even small, local businesses) are all nationalised. But this law is including a local business and most cannot afford such a huge tax percentage, even it is for the "needs of the people" and definitely would support lower taxes to benefit their own business.

MessageMr. Asim El-Turkiey can quit his whining, unless he is against the social services so generously provided to him. Of course small businesses should pay less tax than the big corporations, but there is no real way to express this in our legislation.
