Details
Submitted by[?]: Circuit Party
Status[?]: passed
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: August 2096
Description[?]:
This bill and it's proposal has already been discussed in full prior to elections.Last result was 250-250.We feel we should give it another try. The previous debate may be found here http://82.238.75.178:8085/particracy/main/viewbill.php?billid=12364 No previous terms and conditions have been altered. Those prisoners who are physically and mentally able, should be required to work.Just because one is in prison shouldn't exempt one from being useful and pay taxes to government. Government spends too much money every year on the upkeep of the inmates.Prisoners' salary should be covering these expenses instead. |

Proposal[?] to change Prison policy concerning prisoner labor.
Old value:: Prisoners can do certain jobs in prison, voluntarily, for a small wage.
Current: Able-bodied prisoners have to work during the day.

Date | 15:54:24, August 15, 2005 CET | From | Circuit Party | To | Debating the Work in Prison |
Message | As was explained by our party in previous bill; this can't be remotely compared to slave labour. All individuals must work and pay taxes.Whether they are in prison or not.The money earned by prisoners will be used, entirely; to pay for their upkeep, food and basic necessities.Government will not be making money on prisoners' back. @PP - "Ok, as long as the range of jobs is wide I'll support this bill." was the exact message in the previous For Better Justice and Economy debate. Then you go and vote against it, in fact against your own words. |

Random fact: The people in your nation don't like inactive parties. When you often abstain from voting for a bill, they will dislike your party and your visibility to the electorate will decrease significantly. Low visibility will means you are likely to lose seats. So keep in mind: voting Yes or No is always better than Abstaining. |
