Details
Submitted by[?]: Confédération Nationale du Travail
Status[?]: passed
Votes: This bill is a resolution. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: August 2451
Description[?]:
I have just moved here and don't want to upset the apple cart but does the lack of capitalisation on the nations name really bug anyone? As I assume you need 2/3rds to make a change like this I will submit this to a vote to change from: République populaire d'Alduria to République Populaire d'Alduria What do you think? |

Message | However, we do note, with the Communists being gone, that perhaps République d'Alduria is more befitting, as a 'popular republic' denotes a communist regime. |

Message | The purpose of this is just to correct the mistake, so we shall get enough support for it to pass. If we start dropping bits, adding bits or changing things we shall probably not get enough seats for the mods to change it. Let's just change this, then we can begin lobbying for a different name, |

Message | I appreciate the intention, but in French, first letters of adjectives take a lower case (even in nouns). It could be a specificity of our Aldurian French, however, so we will support. |

Message | For the record, the ASLP had favored 'Alduria' (just as Canada, simply Canada, is the formal name of that country) back then, but it was not enough socialist sounding. |

Random fact: In Culturally Protected nations, special care must be taken to ensure realism is maintained when role-playing a government controlled by an ethnic and/or religious minority. If it is to be supposed that this government is supported by a majority of the population, then this should be plausibly and sufficiently role-played. The burden of proof is on the player or players role-playing such a regime to demonstrate that it is being done realistically |
