Bill: Right to Life 2450
Details
Submitted by[?]: Feathercreek Ecological Partnership
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: November 2451
Description[?]:
We at the partnership assert that during the third trimester of pregnancy, the developmental stage of the baby is closer to a child than to a fetus. It is inhumane to take away that child's right to live. The first and second trimester of the pregnancy should give the prospective mother plenty of time to decide whether she wishes to go through with childbirth or not. |

Article 1
Proposal[?] to change Policy on the legality of abortions
Old value:: Abortion is allowed during the entire course of the pregnancy.
Current: Abortion is allowed during the entire course of the pregnancy.

Message | You certainly can't claim that we are trying to further our pro-choice agenda (though, admittedly, many of our members have one). This is just a way to make the laws more rational. Remember, sometimes you have to take baby steps to get what you want. |

Message | While this is certainly true and in previous such instances we have voted in favour of bills that dont go far enough BUT unfortunately we can not support this as it is a critical issue to the CNF. |

Message | I implore that the CNF vote in favour of this bill in that this is going the right direction for them (although their terminus is further along than our station stop). |
