Bill: Regulation of Firearms Act
Details
Submitted by[?]: Socialist Reformist Party
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: September 2451
Description[?]:
Today, anyone(even children!) may walk into a gun store, and purchase a firearm, as long as thay can prove that they have no history of mental illness or violent criminality. The SRP finds the right for all citizens to own firearms unnecessary. Firearms do no good for our citizens, all they do is increase our murder and suicide rates. Abolish firearms, except for those who need it for professional purposes! |

Message | All rights are necessary. It is not a question of whether a given right should remain in our legal system, but of which right is more important than another. Rights should only be restricted when they impose on other rights. |
Date | 19:42:55, September 05, 2007 CET | From | Lourenne Patriot and Reform Party | To | Debating the Regulation of Firearms Act |
Message | This is a horrible bill which when you outlaw guns, only outlaws will have guns. |

Message | Without guns, how will we keep out the non-citizens. They are like animals, and need to be shot on sight. |

Random fact: "OOC", "IC" and "IG" are commonly-used acronyms in Particracy. "OOC" refers to comments, discussions and actions which are out-of-character, meaning they are done player-to-player rather than party-to-party. "IC" refers to in-character interactions (ie. party-to-party). Similarly, "IG" means in-game, although this term may also simply refer to what happens in the actual game interface, as opposed to on the forum or elsewhere. "RP" just means "role-play". |
Random quote: "The European Union and environmental advocacy groups use global warming hysteria to advance their own special agendas. The European Union recognizes any significant reduction in CO2 emissions by the United States will significantly reduce its economic output, thereby bringing it closer to the inferior output of European nations. Environmental advocacy groups work to stifle economic and industrial progress wherever they find it to inhibit the successful advancement of peoples in developing nations, inevitably making mankind a second class citizen of planet Earth." - Dr. Jay Lehr |
