MessageThe Redemption Party supports this coalition and would be proud to continue serving Lourenne in whatever capacity possible. The distribution of ministries is somewhat unorthodox, but the primary concern is getting a cabinet together as soon as possible. Whether we adopt this cabinet or another one, I urge all parties to move towards a compromise as soon as possible.

Minister Appleby has a great deal of experience in heading the Finance Ministry and has shown magnificent skill in compromising with other parties to execute his duties, so he is a wise choice for any president's cabinet.

MessageAs i look upon this cabinet all i see is a field of communists and their sympathizers. However, I would ask that someone perhaps remove the mantel of finance away from the engorged head of the Redemption Party, since they have had several cycles to fix our budget problems and have thus far failed.

MessageThese nflammatory remarks from some unnamed member of the SFAFASL would not normally warrant a rebuttal. However, it is vital that the parliament know the true cause of our budget crisis: overspending and isolationism. The Ministry of Finance has, under my leadership, passed Lourenne's first budget, which balanced our budget for perhaps the first time in history. Also, due in no small part to President Hutton's and Minister Dull's diplomacy, Lourenne maintained good relations with all of its neighbors, receiving three billion LFR in no-strings-attached aid from our neighbors when our nation's poor needed it the most. We also prevented the ELP from spending every (or indeed any) coin of that money on a ridiculous scheme to invade Sekowo. Our budget crisis is not due to financial mismanagement, it is due to the fact that we are essentially a third-world nation whose legislature is still intent on universal socialization.

Rueben Appleby
Minister of Finance
