Bill: Citizenship and identity cards

Details

Submitted by[?]: Pan-Sekowan Fascist Front

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: October 2452

Description[?]:

Pure Pan-Sekowan race must be protected from impure genes of the dirty immigrants. Thus we must force everyone to carry their identity card so we can better identify the components that are crippling our Pan-Sekowan society, the foreigners.

And to gain citizenship, you must be of pure Pan-Sekowan breed. If your parents, grandparents or grand-grandparents were of foreing birth, you will be no more considered a citizen of strong and proud nation of Pan-Sekowo

MessageWhile the PRP can certainly understand the desire to control who is allowed citizenship into our magnificent nation, we feel that this proposal goes too far. Race is a terrible criterion for citizenship, as within any race there is incredible diversity, both good and bad. The PRP would be more willing to endorse a standardized exam to determine one's station in our country, but to be assigned citizenship based on rather poor factors is, we feel, foolish. While we have no problem with mandatory Government-issued identity cards, this is a small facet of this proposal and does nothing to mitigate the problems.

Random fact: In cases where players have failed to clearly and accurately reference their nation's RP laws in the "Bills under debate" section, Moderation will rule them invalid if a challenge is made to their validity.
