Bill: Religion and Taxation Act

Details

Submitted by[?]: Vanuku Corporate Alliance

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: November 2452

Description[?]:

There are many religions, some valid and some not. Some religions are more popular in our republics then others.

Therefore, why not let each republic decide on whether religions are taxed or not? It makes perfect sense.

The VFA's proposal is appropriate and awesome. We cannot think of any reason why this bill should not be passed. We dare you to debate us. We dare you!

MessageToo much pressure is being put upon local governments. And this leaves the national government with very little power.

Random fact: The players in a nation have a collective responsibility to prevent confusion by ensuring unofficial or outdated bills labelled as "Cultural Protocols" are removed from their nation page.

Random quote: "Civil disobedience. . . is not our problem. Our problem is civil obedience. Our problem is that numbers of people all over the world have obeyed the dictates of the leaders of their government and have gone to war, and millions have been killed because of this obedience. . Our problem is that people are obedient all over the world in the face of poverty and starvation and stupidity, and war, and cruelty. Our problem is that people are obedient while the jails are full of petty thieves, and all the while the grand thieves are running the country. That's our problem." - Howard Zinn
