Bill: Identity Card Policy
Details
Submitted by[?]: Yellow Party
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: September 2454
Description[?]:
Below lies a list of all of the rest of the nation-states that require citizens to tote a name badge around with them at all times. It is ridiculous and suppressive for our government to force citizens to tote ID cards everywhere. Although this party does think that ID cards are useful for national security and census reasons, we don't think it should be mandatory to carry them everywhere. Message | We would ask the IFP, if one, mind you one who is completely innocent of offense, were to forget it and be randomly checked or something- what would be the repercussions? Would not this rather silly problem create unnecessary red-tape and expense for the prosecutors, investigators, and police force that would be involved in enforcement? For a party who is opposed to the extra spending involved in giving all people free state-provided legal council, why would you want to nullify that with such an irrelevant expense to our legal system? And surely you wouldn't be throwing around accusations of being up to "no good" to the freedom-loving, good citizens of Ikradon who simply do not want to be burdened by the worries of always having an ID card on them. Surely not. |

Message | The Yellow Party apologizes for bringing this up to vote so fast, but we would like to possibly get this voted upon before election season. |

Random fact: Did you know you can change the official name of your nation? All you need to do is draw up a new name that is in accordance with the Nation Renaming Guide, pass a bill proposing the name change with a two-thirds majority and then post a request to Moderation on the "Renaming Requests" thread. You can change city and region names in this way too. |
