Bill: Strong Economy & Balance Budget Act

Details

Submitted by[?]: Capitalist Working Families

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: August 2456

Description[?]:

This revolutionary and comprehensive tax reform bill will seek to STRENGHEN our economy by:

(1) Reducing the Corporate Tax Rate from 9% to 4%, a reduction of 5 percentage points. This reform of the tax code is CRITICALLY necessary b/c it will embolden FOREIGN businesses to re-locate their manufacturing operations from their home countries to OUR country thus creating MILLIONS of new jobs for the PEOPLE!!!

(2) In an aggressive effort to prevent the the "bleeding of the Treasury," I am proposing a rise of the LUXURY Sales Tax (goods like that of jewlery etc. that WEALTHY consumers purchase) from the miniscule 5% to 50%.

Thank you for your full support.

P.S.: I ask you to NOT misinterpret this bill as a "giveaway to the rich" b/c it cuts the Corporate Tax rate nearly in half. Btw, former DEMOCRATIC President, John F. Kennedy, actually signed a law that actually reduced Corporate Tax rates by 52% as well as the TOP Marginal income tax rate from 90% to 70% (20% cut).

Nevertheless, the provision in this bill calling for a magnanimous 50% Sales Tax on LUXURY items that are bought primarily by the wealthy would yield an ASTRONOMICAL 60 billion Rutanian dollars in Federal Revenue, thus enabling us to fund our military, education, healthcare, and the like.

Thanks again.

It is NOT a "sales Tax." In fact, the current Sales Tax rate is 0% and I will VETO any attempt by the legislature to raise it. Rather, the 50% is a LUXURY (goods) tax in it is CRITICALLY necessary in order to meet the demands of the Government's (the People's) expenses on roads, military spending, education, etc.

As of currently, we are operating on a BAREBONES budget of a miniscule 140,000,000 RUT.

MessageStill, 50% tax for luxury goods?

We'll vote yes, but we would like to see the luxury goods tax lowered later.

Random fact: Don't put "the" as the first word in your party name, because when parties are referred to in news reports, their names are preceded with "the", e.g. the [Socialist Party] has lost.
