Bill: Libertarian Act: Military

Details

Submitted by[?]: Scientific Libertarian Party

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: August 2457

Description[?]:

We can't decide which position we hold on WMDs, whether it is more important to be able to nuke the crap out of invader or to make sure we can't nuke the crap out of non-invaders. However, the possibility of conscription is completely unacceptable no matter who's about to invade.

MessageThe DLU finds itself in agreement with SLP in this agreement. I know we were rather shocked too. Conscription has never made much sense, if ones is asked to die for ones country it much be a free choice not a demand from the state.

MessageYeah, even, I, who, downright opposes the SLP on virtually ever bit of politics, agree's with them.

Random fact: When you join the game, you will find yourself with only zero seats. That's because your party's representatives haven't been elected yet. You need to establish your party's position on issues by proposing several bills that your party wants passed and sending them to vote. This raises your visibility and if you do it enough, you will win seats at the next election.

Random quote: "If democracy is ever to be threatened, it will not be by revolutionary groups burning government offices and occupying the broadcasting and newspaper offices of the world. It will come from disenchantment, cynicism and despair caused by the realization that the New World Order means we are all to be managed and not represented." - Tony Benn
