MessageThe DSP only agrees with on of these proposals.

Article 1
We believe the citizens should directly elect there mayors, so moving it away from the local level goes against that.

Article 2
We're not even sure what a sports club is, but we feel it's up to the local governments if they want to fund them or not.

Article 3
While we do believe in permits, we feel this is to hot an issue to do anything but leave it to local governments.

Article 4
We agree with fully.

Article 5
We think that for the time being this is something that should be left up to the local governments.

ToDebating the Further anti-federalism
MessagePlato's Republicans feel that having various manners of mayoral appointment depending on region is counter to a strong and united nation, and while we believe there are better manners of appointment than by the Head of State, we feel that it is a step in the right direction. As for the other four proposals, we agree for the most part. We are uncertain as to the sports clubs, but they are something of a non-factor. We support this bill.

Random fact: Any RP law granting extraordinary "emergency powers" or dictator-like powers to a government must be passed by at least a 2/3rds majority, but (like all RP laws) may always be overturned by a simple majority vote of the legislature.

Random quote: "Up against the corporate government, voters find themselves asked to choose between look-alike candidates from two parties vying to see who takes the marching orders from their campaign paymasters and their future employers. The money of vested interest nullifies genuine voter choice and trust." - Ralph Nader
