Description[?]:
The DSP, in further bids to protect the environment, has noticed to laws that degrade the environment, and therefore we propose changing them. Logging is currently left up to local governments, now overall we don't have a problem with the local governments deciding on this, however we believe that there should be enforced quotas. As it stands pesticides are allowed to be used, which to be quite honest astounded the DSP that such dangerous chemicals are allowed to be used in the growing of the food that not only feeds our people, but brings our economy food through its exportation. The DSP believes that pesticides and all other unnatural chemicals like these be banned, as studies have shown that having a natural system set-up works much better anyways. Therefore the DSP proposes the following; -Forests are protected. Logging is allowed by license only. -Chemical pesticides, herbicides, and fungicides are banned. |

Message | Plato's Republicans understand the concern with chemicals used in agriculture, but the fact is that many of these chemicals are totally safe, and the ones that are not fall under the category of "unapproved." So-called "natural" systems are in fact expensive, unwieldy, and less productive than systems which utilize safe, studied, and understood methods of agricultural chemistry. |
