Message | We strongly suggest this bill. It will offer us pre-educated people for the military and civilian sector. We need citizens who got basic training for their military service if needed later. Also the civilian sector needs helping hands to develope it. Because we are a nation founded on three islands we would always have problems to defend them if our navy is defeated. This bill will bring us more military and civilian teached people and this is really important to stand longer against possible enemies. In fact it will reduce the drill time later and our hospitals will also have more workers to do their job when we are struggling to save our beloved nation. |

Message | We at the FS have bad experiences of badly run, corrupt and totally inefficient practices concerning the military service schemes we witnessed overseas. We even partook in the training. We see long enough queues to join the forces as volunteer here. We believe the fighting will not be on the beaches of our 3 islands if and when the time comes but with missile buttons and IT. In short, we will find it hard to support this bill as we prefer to think that our goog example of civilized behaviour here will eventually spread throughout the world and nullify any such need. The staffing problems at hospitals etc. can be solved in much more satisfactory, less draconian ways. |

Message | A highly trained, volunteer, professional military protects these islands much better than a rag-tag, sloppy gang of mewling, snivelling, snot-nosed conscripts ever could. It is my professional opinion, along with that of my party, that this bill be scrapped. General Igor J. Kaos, Minister of Defense |

Message | Well, it is the SCP's professional opinion that such service provides more skills for our workers as well as instills Imperial pride in our citizens. |

Message | This service is a basic drill for the military service and civilian services as well. It will gain us a lot of benefits. There is no - we repeat: NO - example in any history a only voluntary army defeated any enemy. And please let us not speak about nation with so few citizens we should speak more about a bigger city there. This bill gives our citizens a basic drill. Don't forget our students leave school at 16 yrs only some of them visits a universtiy. Our Imperial Provinces have jobless people around 6 till 7 % . That's a lot. We can let them hang around or we let them do something for the nation. It is just a year. They will learn lots of usefull things and behaviour also needed in the civilian life. This does not effect our 1st line regiments, it is for our 2nd wave regiments which also refill the first when needed. This will bring us several million possible soldiers for the defense war and not only few hundred thousands. Again, no army based on voluntary service only gained any victory in history without massive allied countries. They only country they may defeat will be Grenada or Panama, well but those have only so few citizens we shouldn't speak about countries, should we? |

Message | A well-trained army relies upon recruits who actually WANT to be there. If somebody does not want to drill or live the military life, then they become a liability, rather than an asset, to our armed forces. However, we would be interested to learn what this civilian service option would entail. |

Message | That is the reason why we said: Military and National Service. They may choose. The civilian option shall include the following: - working in hospitals and old people's homes - wroking in social programms - working in the national parks - working for pauper relief organisations etc. |
