Details

Submitted by[?]: Revolutionary Constit'nal United Front

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: May 2462

Description[?]:

It is imperative to devolve certain funcitonalities to the local level so that the governance reflects not the Conceptions of Life from the View of a Bureacrat fat cat, with their odious utilitarian measures that aim to restrict their rights arbitrarily as if this Being sits above the Almighty Christ in Heaven Himself, or the Ghost, or the Holy Father, or Saintly Persons, or Even the Immaculate Mary. That is the Infallibility that is thus Percieved by the Misguided Politician who Does not Wish to Allow the People to Choose and As Such, We must remedy this problem and give the Local Governments the Rights to Choose Its Own Policy.

MessageUCC stands for local control of policy and decentralization in most policy areas. However these three issues: sexual relations, marriage, and divorce are so universal in scope that we believe it makes sense for the entire nation of Jelbania to have a uniform policy for each of these issues.

Therefore, we do not support these changes.

Messagewe can somewhat agree with art. 2 this is a controversial issue and not an essential human right; but we strongly oppose the other two articles; these concern fundamental human rights

MessageWe believe that a community has the right to self-regulate their private behavior, and everything that has to do with marriages. As far as moral standards go, the CUF believes in the right of small communities to self-segregate and maintain some religious or moral codes. Those who do not support a particular local legislation can easily move to another township that would be more accomadating to that citizen.

We understand that this bill is unlikely to pass in the current political climate, nevertheless we would like to bring it to vote so that it would reflect CUF's platform.

Random fact: "OOC", "IC" and "IG" are commonly-used acronyms in Particracy. "OOC" refers to comments, discussions and actions which are out-of-character, meaning they are done player-to-player rather than party-to-party. "IC" refers to in-character interactions (ie. party-to-party). Similarly, "IG" means in-game, although this term may also simply refer to what happens in the actual game interface, as opposed to on the forum or elsewhere. "RP" just means "role-play".

Random quote: "No man has ever been born a Negro hater, a Jew hater, or any other kind of hater. Nature refuses to be involved in such suicidal practices." - Harry Bridges
